FAMILY MEDICINE

A Family Medicine specialist is a specialist physician who knows the physical, mental and social conditions of the people he serves and works to maintain and improve their health in these respects. In our country, the duration of specialist training to gain this equipment is 3 years. During these three years, family medicine specialists learn the principles of their discipline and also rotate in the branches of Internal Medicine, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Child Health and Diseases, General Surgery and Psychiatry. The family physician also provides preventive medicine services by predicting people's genetic risk factors and diseases that may arise from lifestyle and making the necessary follow-ups. In cases requiring advanced examination and treatment, medical follow-up continues by the family physician even when patients are referred to other branches. The Family Medicine specialist also recommends examinations and examinations at regular intervals, depending on age, gender and individual health risks, and these are automatically notified to the person if desired.
