Internal Medicine is the core medical specialty managing all organ systems in adults. Due to its comprehensive nature, it acts as a primary guide for patients. Most diagnoses begin here through detailed investigations; the unit then either manages the treatment or refers the patient to sub-specialties (Cardiology, Endocrinology, etc.) based on the diagnosis.
